NextGen Scholarship Awarded to Local Banker
The Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA) and Itasca Bank & Trust in Itasca, Ill., today announced that Matthew Rogers, an operations center manager at the bank, received a NextGen scholarship to attend any certification program, educational event or institute offered by Community Banker University®.
"ICBA is committed to fostering the next generation of community bank leaders by helping to provide them with the professional development resources needed to ensure our industry's continued strength and vitality," ICBA Group Executive Vice President of Member Engagement and Strategy Chris Lorence said. Rogers is one of four community bankers selected from a nationwide pool of entrants representing various staff positions at community banks. Three scholarship types were awarded based on submitted essays and letters of recommendation from senior management at the candidate's bank.
